Classic Steel Garage Doors 8300, 8300 AG, 8500, & 8500 AG are Wayne Dalton’s best-insulated residential garage doors and are durably made with two layers of steel surrounding a thick layer of foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. These doors are offered in five classic and contemporary designs and a wide selection of painted and bi-directional wood grain finishes.
While Model 8300 comes with an impressive R-value* of 12.12, Model 8500 is our highest insulated residential garage door with an R-value of 16.22 using polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation, which can improve your home’s thermal efficiency, block street noise and make the door operate more quietly. Heavy-gauge steel wrap around end caps trim-out door edges for better appearance, improved strength and damage-protection of the insulation.
Choose Your Design
Classic steel garage door Models 8300 and 8500 are available in four stylish design options—Short Panel, Long Panel, Vertical Short Panel and Flush Panel. Model 8300 is also available in Vertical Long. Doors come in four-panel 8’x7’ and five-panel 8’x8’ sizes. Ask your Wayne Dalton representative about other sizes.

Your classic steel garage doors can be finished in one of six signature colors—White, Almond, Sandstone, Terra Bronze, Brown and Black. Wood Grain Impressions™ are available in Flush Panel and Wood Grain Impressions™ Bi-directional Finishes are available for Short, Long, Vertical Short and Vertical Long panels. Choose from Western Cedar, Carbon Oak and Medium Oak. If you’d like, you can upgrade your finish from more than 6,000 TruChoice® custom colors.

Choose from 9 Short panel options, 30 style choices from Vertical Short, 23 selections from Long and Vertical Long panels and 33 from Flush. There are additional options for double car garage doors.
Furthermore, you can specify horizontal or vertical window placement, as well as, an all-window option.
